Simulated Crime Scene Investigation.
Like true Crime Scene Investigators, Grade 5 scanned, searched and documented a crime scene. Before entering the crime scene, students had to ensure they were wearing their protective masks and gloves, so as not to contaminate the crime scene. After cordoning off the area, the students walked around the scene, finding all pieces of evidence, and added it to their sketch maps. All evidence was carefully examined and checked for fingerprints before the students documented it. Once documented, the students ensured that each piece of evidence was properly packed away. Finally, they sent all the evidence off to the lab for testing. As of now, the cause of the crime still remains a mystery.
