Fireman Day!
Last Thursday at ISC Suli was Fireman day! An expert team from the Civil Defense of Sulaimanyah visited our school in order to inform our students and staff regarding the steps to be taken in cases of earthquakes and fires. Our students also learned the emergency number to call, the dangers and how to stay away from the causes of fires.
To demonstrate how the Civil Defense persons respond to such calls, a fire was opened and the fire truck along with several brave firefighters quickly arrived and put out the fire.
The students asked questions about fire extinguishers, the special equipment used and the specialty in uniforms worn by firefighter and enjoyed taking photos with the firemen and fire truck!
