A Day at the Airport
This was a fun, fast paced, visual field trip where the roar of the planes ignited a spark in our students’ interest. The helpful guides at Sulaymaniyah International Airport gave the students a fun-filled tour to see the different areas of the airport and even saw a plane take off. They learned about different types of aircraft, who sits in the cockpit, how food and waste is stored inside the planes, how the planes are being directed to land on the runway, and how the planes get fuel. The bus ride back to school was filled with conversations about everyone wanting to be a pilot when they grow up.
